  • Medium yelllow. Ripe orchard fruit, saline overtones and a streak of acetic acid on the nose. Palate is much fruitier than my recent bottles of this - great delineation of flavour. This is my final bottle of 6 but it went out with a song....heavy pear and orange notes, lovely wood and toasted brioche riding on an acidic backbone that supports a long final. Great balance and length...just the kind of Chenin I love.

I bought these on the strength of reviews alone but was not disappointed. Superb value for money as is the case for so much South African Chenin.

  • Medium yellow. Apples and faint mineral bouquet. Round entry, expansive soon after, filling to a complex mid-palate with citrus and ripe orchard fruit and some nuanced oak inflection. Mineral streak and a nice lift from acidity bearing up a good final.

This has lost some fruit but has some nice tertiary complexity now. A tad hot but not prickly.

  • Medium dark yellow. Apple and some saline notes on the bouquet. This came across drier and less fruit laden than I remember. As the tertiary notes come to the fore it is losing some of the fruit. Still - lovely Chenin that impresses with it's balance and length. All the same, I'm going to drink my remaining bottles over the next year or so. Best well chilled and allowed to warm slowly....also think this is best paired with savoury foods.

  • Popped and poured. Notes from memory. Medium yellow. Grilled toast, honey and beeswax mingle with yellow stone fruits on the bouquet. Palate echoes the bouquet with an ever so slight residual sugar that is beautifully paired off with the natural acidity.

Great refreshment - this is complex, long and eminently drinkable. Feels as if this has entered peak drinking now.

  • Popped and poured. Pale-mid yellow. Classic chenin nose of beeswax, lanolin, toast and lemon curd. Round entry great mouthfeel, complex midpalate of orchard fruit, minerality and a long, tingling acidity that rings through a gorgeous final. Enjoyed this immensely and for me a solid notch up on my first bottle of this from a year or so ago.

Looking forward to getting to my other ones over the next 5-10 years. Great complexity and balance here.
