Not sure why some scores are as low as they are but perhaps this wine has benefited from another 4-5 years of cellaring. Today it is an easy-drinking, food-friendly red with generous fruit flavors and a moderate peppery finish. Maybe folks don't like the racy 14.2% alcohol but it barely needs time to open up. Good structure and balance for a bottle under $25, usually under $15.

Color: Deep Crimson Nose: Red Fruits, some spice, with combination of strawberry, raspberry and cherry Palate: Red Fruits, spice, pepper, berries with nice subtle tannins. Finish: Medium bodied with subtle tannins Thoughts: Very good drinker that has lots of flexibility in what it can be paired with. Popped and poured no decanting needed but did get softer as it was exposed to air.

Crimson by name for a reason, deep crimson color that is star bright with medium viscosity, on the nose more grenache like than the syrah and cab blend this is... Red fruits, white pepper, stone and dusty, on the palate this medium bodied wine is acid driven, strawberry, raspberry and sour cherry all present, fresh and clean. I feel the wine would do better with slightly higher tannin level and/or some more time in barrel, to balance it out.

Nice fruit nose. Not too much going on in the middle. Smooth and buttery finish. Little to no tannins. Good, but not memorable. Drink now.
