one of the best bottles of California Chardonnay I have ever had. Beautiful deep wet straw color. Great balance, still showing very young, with an elegant finish you cannot tear yourself away from.

This is begining to take on a lot of secondary flavor characteristics and is getting more complex than when first released. Kerry Murphy told me when this was released that they were trying to make a burgundy style chardonnay in California and I think they have taken many of tyhe better characteristics of both sides. By the way - he also said that he would use screw caps when DRC used screw caps. Color is slightly on the golden side of yellow. Nose is light. palate is the begining of the development of roasted nuts, acidity, white fruit and a flavor that I cannot pinpoint but seems charateristic of Dumol wines. Alcohol is not noticeable. Finish is remarkably long. The wine can still be tasted in the mouth a minute after swallowing. An outstanding wine.

Well balanced Chard, golden yellow in color. Still showing rich tropical fruit but yielding a bit to white peach, honey and apple. Always my favoirite bottling from DuMOL. I'd drink up if you have any- in a good spot right now.
