Wednesday Night Blind Tasting in KW (Dave's House): Decanted for approximately 30 mins, not blind to me. A nose of candied cherries, florals, baking spices of cinnamon and nutmeg, tar, herbs, fennel, with a touch of leather and earth. On the palate, cherries, spice. Great acidity and slightly drying tannin in the mouth, but in a good place right now. Moderate length finish.

Decanted one hour. Garnet through the middle, but still quite deeply coloured. The nose just grows more nuanced and inviting with air... raspberry, tar, florals and a big dollop of licorice. Medium bodied, mild, but drying tannins. More fruit-driven on the palate with med+ acidity. Elegant & composed. And while the palate doesn't totally live up to the nose, there is a ton of character here. I have limited experience with Nebbiolo, but this is quite a nice drink!
Eventually had with lamb rib chops in a coffee-black raspberry sauce, which was quite nice.

Decanted for 2 hours. No sediment in bottle Colour:much deeper red than traditional Nebbiolos Nose:very fruit forward. ripe red fruit Taste: Fruit forward, modern style barbaresco. Tannins are very fine. Slight sweetnes. Not a traditional style for sure but pleasant and ready to drink.

Brought to Splendido, decanted for an hour and drank over the next two. Performed well. Young and primary, but would have to say complete and balanced. As always, more shy than Barolo and my only complaint is this seemed to hold back a little in it's expression. Should evolve. 89-90
