Tasted immediately after opening from a Silver Oak tasting glass at American cellar temperature. Full acidity after 14 years but with secondary notes after a few seconds of savoring, a very well-rounded wine. Aromas of red and purple fruits with blue fruits in the background, all with a vintage character. This wine comes across as finely aged and ready to drink now without decanting. Blackberry, mulberry, and sour red cherry are the primary flavors, tied together nicely with the acidity and a mildly sweet mouthfeel. Secondary notes of damp earth, blueberry, and pie crust. A lovely vintage, I need to try other releases!

It's been five years since I had my other bottle, but it's remarkably consistent. A little age rounding off the edges, but the tannins are silky, there is still nice blue/black fruit, and sweet oak is ever-present. Great finish. Kind of juicy - remarkable for a wine 10+ years later. Excellent.

Rich with dark berries on the nose with lingering earthy notes, moderately long legs and medium bodied. Took some time to open up. On the palate, it is a more typical petite sirah, but perhaps a little unbalanced. Good but not great.

This is aged well. Nice dark fruit. Integrated tannins. Decanted about 30 minutes.

Nice, took a while to open up. Could age a little more.
