  • Decanted briefly for sediment. I had a bottle last month that seemed dried out and over the hill. I was perplexed because when I was drinking this in 2010 and 2011 I was convinced that it would benefit from several years of bottle age. Tonight's bottle proved that last month's was an anomaly. This bottle has all the pure ripe dark berry fruit from its youth, sweet purple flowers, with the rough edges rounded out, oak elements better integrated. If drinking this blind, I'd probably guess 2005 Barossa Valley Shiraz because it has the same candied, cherry liqueur note and touch of heat that characterizes that vintage, but there's also an herbal, inky, mineral background to this wine that is undeniably Argentina. This is at peak. Drink now-2016.

  • Heel mooie syrah. Veel donker fruit, chocolade en vanille in de neus en smaak, maar ook mooie zuren die ervoor zorgen dat de wijn niet te zwaar wordt.

  • Dense and intense wine with lots of fruits on the nose and palate. A real sensation for the money.

  • This was a very well-integrated bottle, with mocha, milk chocolate, maple syrup, deep red fruit, black licorice, cherry liqueur.

  • Redder fruit than previous bottle. Nose of milk chocolate, raspberry compote, black licorice. Brandy/port alcohol very prominent, round, cherry liqueur palate, tons of wood spice, very tannic. Bottle age needed.
