I let this decant for 2+ hours and it opened up very nicely.
Great, red fruit, cooked fruit with some forrest and tobacco on the nose. The tertiary smell comes through nicely. The tertiary taste is even better - the cooked fruit and forrest floor pairs with a touch of floral and primary red fruit flavors.

Opened an hour and a half before dinner but that was really not along enough as the wine got progressively better during the evening. The nose was dark fruit and hints of leather. The palate was berries, leather, barnyard and spice. The finish was moderate to long and smooth. Served alongside grilled Indonesian swordfish and sautéed greens.

Opened two and a half hours before dinner and decanted. Poured it back into the bottle and went to a friends house for dinner. The nose was dark fruit and hints of leather. The palate was berries, leather, barnyard and spice. The finish was moderate to long and smooth. Aging well with years to go.

Three hour decant, this has an interesting nose that starts out with a predominant lead of pine along with dark fruit, after several hours in the glass the green scent dissipates. The palate is deep and complex, with plenty of fruit and interesting spicy notes. This will change in the glass if you give it enough time, revealing a more balanced mix of tannins and acid.
