Brun did a great job with this wine considering the vintage. It has full ripeness in the nose with dark fruits and even going to dried fruits, but really nice acidity to balance and add freshness. There is some thickness to the tannin, so better with food. A very successful 09 imo.
Beaujolais Bonanza (Sydney, Australia): Smoky, with game and cherry elements. Acid and tannin are at the forefront, though there is some decent fruit weight, as well as good length. I was left somewhat indifferent to it, though there was no specific issue.
