Clear, medium ruby. Muted aromas of cherry and dark fruits, against a background of beef jerky on the first night; fleshed out on the second night with more dominate red fruits. Likewise, the slightly thin palate had put on some weight by night two with a much more pleasing plush red fruit, low-medium acidity, and a linear finish of medium-length, revealing good purity and soft integrating tannins. Medium-bodied without much spice or complexity. A few more years wouldn't hurt.
Slightly reductive, extremely ripe but not sweet aromas, beef jerkey, dark fruit/blackberry. Not my favorite Burgundy profile ... more rustic than pure. Very thick aromas. Black fruits, very firm/hard tannins all the way through the finish. Good underpinning acidity. Average depth of fruit, limited baby fat. Very long finish, if slightly harsh. This is very nice entry level Burgundy and represents a great deal compared to most any domestic pinots at this price. I'd drink now vs. thinking it's going to improve....but you rarely know.
