This wine continues to disappoint me as I taste different bottles. It's a good respectable Cab but is not up to standards of Buehler I have seen in the past. It has nice Chocolate and cherry flavor but is thin and has a less than impressive finish.
Give me any vintage of 14 Hands over this wine for half the price and a couple of points better rating.
Did not decant. Served with Grilled ribeye steak. Nose of Cassis, wood, and spice. Light, soft tannins. Medium finish. A nice wine for the price, and certainly enjoyable. However, a bit more fruit forward and jammy than I prefer.
The wine is developing well on storage. The fruits are blackberry and blueberry with a touch of sweetness. Nice full mouth and good balance. I'm still concerned how the plastic cork is going to impact aging of this wine -- It's doing fine right now and is drinking closer to my expectations based on other vintages I have had
