(Ramonet Noel Chassagne-Montrachet Boudriotte) Medium, medium-plus cherry red colour, shading to purple. The nose still has sweet medium-toast oak in the ascendant but below is blue skinned fruit - takes about 30 minutes for the oak to fade. The palate is a blast, ripe high toned fruit, really super acidity and plenty of furry tannin. The finish is still slightly bitter - but this wine is fun, fun, fun - with a serious side. Less full with food, but very good.

Surprisingly mature looking, with a touch of rust in the colour. Very open, and even advanced. It seems to have an evolution that would not surprise me in a wine 10 years older, with delicious mature flavours, fine and attractive tannins, and a refreshing acidic lift. Light ruby. This is immediately accessible and enjoyable. Light, fresh style. Vibrant and bright fruit, with strawberries dominant. The finish is long, but slightly warm. Very tasty. dg
