Wine looked a little sketchy when the bottle was first opened, but after a nice decant, it drinks beautifully and returns to full life and color. This wine is definitely not a "drink by 2015" wine as was previously noted.

Heading towards a garnet color. Aroma includes blackberry, plum, fig, brambles, baking spice, cedar, smoke and hints of earthiness and leather. Medium body; high acid; medium tannin; hot, thin finish. I like that it's not a fruit bomb, and it has some interesting aromas. Alcohol level of 14.5% abv is typical Zin, but the heat permeates the finish. For my taste, the high alcohol content of Zin requires more fruit than this shows. Otherwise it feels out of balance a bit. Still, a very drinkable wine. Don't think it will last much longer....

Really nice color in glass with a thin onion skin rim. Soft, spicy. fruit on palate. Alcohol (14.5%) does not intrude. Good concentration in mid palate. Rather stylish, easy drinking Zin and not an overripe fruit bomb. Dusty tannins. Virtually at peak and should hold for a few years.

as mentioned down below, there is nothing special in this juice. Very little character to this Zin. Medium body, short finish and so one dimentional.
