A Ledbury Dinner: Still a dense ruby, this is considerably deeper and denser in colour than the Vignes Rondes alongside, this is still a dense ruby. Fine velvet. Full, but a little less viscous than a couple of years ago. Still quite dark fruited. Hard to believe this is same producer, vintage, presumably elevage and from an immediately adjacent vineyard to the Vignes Rondes. Loads here, but it feels five years or so behind the Vignes Rondes in terms of evolution. ****

Was wondering whether I should sell remaining bottles bought en primeur given the ridiculous current prices, but glad I didn't. Beautiful nose. Elegant red fruit with soft tannins and great length. Effortless drinking.

Dark, surprisingly dense, savoury, some grip. I had memories of that gloriously raspberryish bottle a year or so ago, so this was a disappointment

Back up bottle. Lovely. Glossy purple fruit. Supple. Delicious. Needs a decade but already lovely.
