Ripe black cherry fruit with lots of polish and spice. Well balanced with the vintage richness/sunniness present but balanced nicely with freshness. Young but a lot of fun to drink now.

Beaune 1er Cru Tasting, in Both Shades (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): Bright mostly red fruit with very good polsih and balance, surprisingly lean and precise for the vintage. Served single blind after 09/10 Beaune 1er Cru Grèves Vigne de L'Enfant Jesus, we knew this either another Baby Jesus or another 2009 or another 2010. I thought it was another 2010.

Enthralling aromas of youthful black cherry with abundant and intense baking spices and toasted herbs. The fruit has 2009 richness with freshening, bright acidity. A deft touch to deliver so much ripe fruit with lightness and lift. Delicious. Upside from here but irresistible now.

The last few reviews have been spot on. Lovely Burgundy that is open now and will likely improve for some time. Shows nicely how Burgundy can be intense and complex while also being delicate, without being at all wimpy.

First of a 3-pack. This took a few hours to really open up and shine. Once open, it had a beautiful nose with an array of red and black cherry accented by musk and spice. The palate has medium concentration with freshness abound. Good richness of fruit but this is well structured and in now way ripe. Terrific, with upside from here.
