A beautiful bottle. Similar notes to my 9/21 bottle w velvety mouthfeel, super nose w cherry and musk, medium finish. Perhaps a touch more evolved but at a v nice plateau.

Fabulous nose of cherry fruit and that ethereal burgundy musk. Nice cherry and darker fruit and a little spice, with medium weight, velvety mouthfeel and medium finish. Will wait a year or two before trying the remaining bottle.

PNP Very good wine.. Medium garnet core around medium ruby core, slightly clouded with fine suspended particles.Wine is evolved perhaps due to early aging before buying from retailer just 3 years ago. Aromatic and flavor complexity across primary red fruits (raspberry, cherry, potpourri), secondary (clay pot, smoke) and tertiary (leather, forest floor) although not as delineated or lifted as in outstanding wine. Very well balanced with M+ acidiity, M+ tannins and M+ finish, although lacking in the elegance of an outstanding Volnay. Nothing to be gained by holding this perhaps prematurely aged premier cru.

(Faiveley Volnay 1er Cru Les Fremiets) Medium cherry red color; focused, ripe cherry, raspberry nose; poised raspberry, baked raspberry, with oak edges, needs 2-3 years; medium finish

Very nice; seemed more like Pommard with earthy, iron, and plum; not the classic floral Volnay. Drinking well now.
