  • Given its 14 year of age it showed surprisingly fresh and with a packed fruit. The bottle was opened 4-5 hours before drinking (soft recorked and put back in the cellar). Soft tannins and lot of black currants and strawberries in the fruit. Medium long finish. Nice and enjoyable but missing some more complexity and minerality. P 90-91

  • Took a little while to open up and I thought this never really showed well. Burly, rustic, almost a grainy finish, this was powerful and was lacking finesse and depth.

  • Took some time to open up, but after 3 hours in the glass a very ambitious and forward going nose with blackcurrant and a lot minerality underneath. On the palate shifting to much more accommodating style with soft tannin, more blackcurrant but also strawberries in the finish. Lovely for drinking now and I suppose also to hold (and develop) next decade or two. Reviewing my own notes on this 1½ year ago I would say that it has developed quite far but also recommend to give it plenty of air if drinking it now. 90-92+ P

  • A bit shy nose but with some floral notes. On the palate a very delicate balance of acidity and fruit. Not big complexity, but very delicate. Absolutely a wine for food. Should improve with cellaring 5-10 years, but also drinkable now I think. 89-91P

  • Took to a restaurant and enjoyed this immensely. did not take notes per se but it did open up quickly, decanted for maybe 30 minutes. Not sure how much better it can get but if you open now you will not be disappointed. Nice nose, light dried red fruit on the palette, long graceful finish. Sorry for lack of specifics but very nice wine.
