  • 14.8% alcohol/372 cases
    Dark blood red color
Nose - ample ripe plum, lavender,
Palate - tart plum, pepper, cinnamon, cocoa, earth, and cedar
Structure - medium-bodied, acidity kicks in in the finish
Finish - good length with plum and pepper prominent
This wine is a blend of 54% Kiler Canyon Vineyard and 46% Glenrose Vineyard. Overall, this wine has both solid fruit and adequate structure to pair well with homemade chili. The pepper notes complimented the chili spice while the acidity matched the tomato base. It was well made and a pleasant surprise, as I expected it to be more fruit driven.

  • Per Vivino. Maginificent color. On the nose rich berry fruit, cinnamon toast and creme brulee, dead sexy. In the mouth big bright red berry fruit leading to strawberry. Excellent structure and shape yet with finesse. Creme brulee and mocha lead into sexy toasted oak on the finish. http://www.vivino.com/four-vines-winery/phoenix-syrah-2008.html
