  Dark ruby but with mahogany now. Very much earth and root vegetables. Some briary black fruits. Earth and forest floor. Good acidity, medium length. Feels fully mature but you never know with these. My last bottle in any case.

  On pop and pour this wine was all acid and no fruit. After an hour ripe red and black fruit emerged and the acidity remained prominent. There’s an earthiness lurking in the background, that’s just a bit more prominent on the finish. Tannins are well integrated at this point. Lacks some depth. I expected a bit more richness, considering the vintage.

  Deep ruby. More black fruits than red. Lots of chunky fruit, a lovely rich pinot character. Tannins now nicely resolved. Bit of spice and forest. Excellent QPR.

  Provided enjoyment, if not the most subtle or nuanced. Drinking well and not likely to fall off a cliff, but equally not going to improve.
