  • This wine continues to impress me. It is on a lovely track of development. Tonight it exhibits a lovely and totally stunning Grenache fruit. There is also a secondary layer emerging with some time in the glass. It is full of cacao, spice, leather and freshly ground herbs. There is something intrinsically profound with this effort. It provides so much joy and it is totally pure and super expressive without ever stepping across the line of being equivoque. A stunner - again and again again!

  • This wine was a bruiser, new world style. Big, overextracted. Full of licorice, black cherry, tar, and smoke. Huge noise that carriers through the palate. Good wine, but be prepared

  • We really liked this wine & it stood no chance of making it past day 1. Decanted 60-90 minutes. Full bodied, and after coming up to room temperature a great balance between fruit and tannins that are resolving nicely. Feels like it still has at least a couple years before peaking -- no indication the fruit is fading, and the tannins still need to soften a bit.

  • I wasn't crazy about a previous bottle, but this one is excellent. The wine is deep purple in color with a nose of very ripe sour cherries, toasted brioche and marzipan. Very flavorful, with tart, intensely ripe fruit, some vanilla/toffee oaky notes, long finish. Delicious now, but not a shy wine.....

  • Not quite as good as other bottles I've had in the past, but still very nice. Dark purple in the glass, with aromas of red berries. No harshness and the alcohol was in balance, but a bit of sweetness (not in a bad way.) Plenty of raspberry and cherry and a nice finish.
