This has matured just as you would expect... Darkish golden color, thick, oily, and dank. However, we have discovered we prefer our dessert wines on the younger side. Which is unfortunate considering how many bottles I have of this to drink!

Nose of orange preserves, oil paints, and tangerine. Thicc and very much orange-themed. A refreshing dessert wine. I could almost have this for breakfast (and I've never been a 'hair of the dog' person).

An awesome sweet wine. Very sweet, but not the overwhelming sweetness sometimes experienced in these sweet wines. Still very nice acidity and balance, and great spice on the palate. This beats lots of world renowned sweet wines - wish I were offered more than a bottle or two each year and could keep my hands off them for a decade or more.

An excellent wine that has lots going for it. To the eye it is a nice deep golden color. On the nose the typical smells you would expect. Lemon oil and some tropical notes. The true enjoyment was on the palate. Loads of honeydew, lemon, nutty spices and a nice thickness to it but never felt cloying because of a good acidic backbone. The finish really lingered here for a good 30-45 seconds and had me smacking and licking my lips to continue the enjoyment. Best late harvest domestic wine I have had so far!! I am glad I drank this now but it will keep for a few years for sure
