  Pretty oak influenced nose with cedar and spice leading the way with black cherries and a little bit of earth following up. Taste is a tart black cherry up front with a bit of boysenberry; mid palate again shows more oak influences with cedar and allspice; finish is long and really dry from the firm tannins.
  
  Know what you are getting yourself into (an oak influenced dry but interesting wine) and you might be pleasantly surprised.

  Very unique and great bottle of wine. Opened up with lots of earth and funk, all in a good way. Good balance and as this opened up, nice tart fruit came to the front. Medium bodied, this was a great wine with Mexican food.
