My son brought this wine to Tribeca Grill, just in case we needed additional wine. On Pop n pour, this had a nice nose (that faded). This is a smooth, but weak syrah. It's not full bodied. I guess it's ok for the non geek crowd. I happen to own a bottle and it will be recycled at a summer BBQ of non wine geeks.
Drank way too young but for the price "why not"? Not a fruit bomb and paired well with NY buffalo strips in blueberry balsamic sauce. I liked the salty meat and spice on the nose with a smooth but lively finish. No heat even when the wine warmed to room temp. I live in a tent but don't let that persuade you.
