  A very deep burgundy core shading to pomegranate on the very edge of the rim; a deeply colored wine. Distinct, but not finely cut flavors of cherry, mint, red currants, eucalyptus, tobo, dusty rose, over steeped tea (a flaw) and a finish of thyme tinged mocha. The mouthfeel is round and welcoming, but the warmth from the alcohol disturbs the finish. It precipitated the barest hint of sediment. Purchased for $16 and I wish I had a half case more to see where this goes. 12.5% alc. With grilled quail wrapped in bacon. Recommended.
