From the cellar, initially a little tight, cranberry, strawberry, cherry and some earth/barnyard notes. 90 to 120 mins in, more of a raspberry, red licorice, cherry, slight star anise aroma. Opened up very nicely. The initially tightness transitioned to smooth and balanced tannis and fruit. It was delicious upon opening and evolved into beautifully refined, more mature version of its initial presentation. Appears to be in a perfect place for our taste.

The plat de resistance was steak. I offered my guest a choice of beverages. The response: Red Burgundy. Whoops! Only one vintage comes to mind: 2009, Burgundy's heavyweight hulk of the early 21st century.. But is it really Burgundy? The Dupont-Tisserandot climbed into the ring and tripped the dark fantastic. A beautiful behemoth, with a profound bouquet of deep fruits and dark flora. Should you pair this wine with sole meuniere, I might reduce the score to a modest 90.

Quite lovely, feint cherry, dried leaf on the nose - some resin, fruit is still there but starting to fade , super fine powdery tannins and nice length - acid may be starting to take over but still balanced at the moment - a refined old lady and still a fair bit of life left

Bouteille ouverte 2h à l'avance. nez compoté plutôt intriguant, fruits noir et trame serrée a l'ouverture. Ensuite une belle fraîcheur, le cassis et puis là le drame...la finale se resserre encore et le vin tourne sur des notes de vieux tabac sec et une amertume plutôt derangeante. Plaisir moyen sur un vin que je connaissais pas, sûrement du a l'effet du millésime.
