Lovely notes of strawberry and cherry. Comes across as fresh even after 10 years. Surprisingly rather high in acidity given the vintage but still splendid wine. More energy day 1 but more balance by day 2. Great qpr.

Wow what a wine that had such wonderful red fruits and balance and was fresh. Wonderful wine and delicious. It cost me £35 years ago and is £75 if you want to buy now. It's expensive but crikey it is fantastic and worth it. This has years left. I reread my not for 2017 and this is just hitting it's drinking window and could well have 10 years left. 92 points

Opened and decanted back into the bottle. Very good, but started out very tight and not the typical Chambolle nose initially. But after 2 hours it certainly became a much better wine, so it probably needs a year or two of ageing. When it woke up it had cherry, earthiness, a touch of spice and forest floor developing. The palate was balanced with red fruits, and the finish was a bit short, but it had a richness that was delicious. I have a bottle left and will wait at least a year to drink it. 91 points

Lovely black cherry aroma, some spiciness, like Glühwein mulled spices, seems like everything's in there. But must be still way too tight, it never really opened up, even with the bottle open a few hours (we didn't decant it). I'd revisit in 3-5 years. Hard to rate now.
