Blind taste night at Maison Dakota. My bottle. Drank in Grassl Cru. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of perfumed florals, sandalwood, earth, red cherries. Developing. On the palate, dry, juicy high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of toasty sandalwood, perfumed floral spices, savoury earth, pretty sweet ripe red cherries. Long finish. Very good quality. Lovely Chambolle expression, and should be even lovelier as the oak integrates a bit more over the next 3-4 years.

2009 Rion, les Charmes 1er (2,5t) Parfyme og blomster, bringebær, mineraler. Ren, presis nese. Strukturert og ungdommelig munn med kaffe, stein, rødbær og svarte bær bak. Enormt mye mineraler, stor konsentrasjon, men fremdeles lukket med mye rå frukt. Svært lang 91 nå. Snart 94

Second bottle from 12. Utterly superb, consumed after very nice Cathiard Vosne Romanee from 2005.
This wine is really really good and at least as good as over half the Grand Cru burgundyi have ever tried. such a really good structure, clean tastes and textures. Lovely Pinot noir expression.

Just superb —- utterly fabulous Charmes Ch Musigny. Lovely balance epically Long finish. Pinot nior at its finest. Red fruits at the front, some herbs no real hint of oak, perfect structure. This is why we drink burgundy — because it can be ethereal and sublime and fantastic. Could it get better???
My first bottle from 12.

Chambolle Night: Spice PN nose, some meat; very fresh, tannic – but also elegant, good length and a fine spicy finish. Very pleasing without being too smooth or trivial; tribute to its freshness.
