Magnum format; wine is in its drinking window. It's lighter than expected given the vintage; classic Gevrey nose, earthy sous bois, red cherry, integrated oak, somewhat lean with balance acidity. I would err on opening this sooner rather than later.

Nose is stunning with dark red fruits and earth notes, plenty of life left to age - tannin is present so would work with or without food at this point.

Reddish brown in color, a bit cloudy. A wonderfully strong perfumed nose of plum, violets, and crushed wet rocks. Amazing follow through on the palate with the addition of cinnamon. "Like Christmas," but that may just be because it is that time of year. The wine finishes with a grippy tannic finish that goes on forever. This is fantastic now, but should continue to evolve for another year.

With a little bit of a savory edge to it, fully mature, soft and supple and rounded, highly aromatic right now. Tim loves it.

En magnum. PNP served into Ridel Burgundy glass (“Root” day): Pale ruby to the eyes with purplish hues.
Florals and not too oaky for my taste as demonstrated by previously tasted. Amazing cherry fruits.
Amazing minerality notes and very clean and persistent notes.
Great stuff. 94 points easy.
