Garnet-tinged magenta. Very expressive strawberry, cinnamon, cedar and earth nose. Medium bodied, raspberries, pomegranates, baking spices, soft sweet tannins, smoke, and a medium to long cherry syrup finish. Delicious.

Last bottle of 25 total. Still drinking well. Earthy, mushoom notes are front and center, along with a bit of smokiness that I can appreciate. Rich and full bodied on the palette in my opinion. A good PN and a steal at the Grocery Outlet price of $10 for the 2nd case. Probable not a compelling at the original suggested retail price though...

This is not my kind of PN... it has just a bit too much funky earth for my liking. On the nose earth and tobacco dominates. In the mouth it's bit lightweight with bright red fruits and more earth. I am not a big fan of big PN but this is way too light for me.
Remember you don't drink the label.

Nice nose of black cherry. Flavors of same fruit, California Pinot...round, somewhat fleshy (compared to Oregon style), smoke, a little tart. Finish was smooth and satisfyingly coating on the palate. Agree this is not a wine to ponder, but rather to enjoy on Wednesday night or in our case, at a small river-front BBQ with 7hour old salmon on the cedar plank.
