Medium bodied with a nice ruby hue. The nose is thick and very pleasant with blackberry and black olive. Fruity in the mouth, with rich blackberry, bacon and a generous helping of spice. Not one for keeping, but one that is drinking well right now and has the power to keep your attention. The finish is short, and is rather unremarkable. Disappointing, as it was very nice up until this point

I'll echo my note from 4/2011 on this. Had two meals with BBQ pork ribs and one with beef stew, and quite food friendly and well-behaved zin. There's subtle depth with both dusty and juicy qualities. 91

This wine is bright ruby hued with medium length legs. Earth and cedar are predominant on the nose Nice heft in the mouth, with a slight briary texture, complements the tastes of red raspberries, plums and spice. Juicy acidity plays well with the mouth coating tannins, And there's enough fruit to keep everything in check. The finish has medium length with more spice, cedar and some red raspberry.

A little hot. Fine concentration and bright fruit, acid good, but lacks that lush bottom texture and body. OK example of Dry Creek zin (which is never a bad thing) but not that special to me.

Very smooth on the pallet but otherwise unremarkable. Looks like we drank this too early.
