Dark ruby color. Initially, the nose was all dark fruits, black cherry and plums, but with more time it has blossomed into bright red cherry and pommegranite. The flavors were tight and unyielding at first with tart cranberry and an annoying bitter note in the middle of the palate. With time, the flavors have expanded to cherries, pommegranite, cocoa, and charred oak. The bitterness has subsided. The acids are a little low, but this medium-bodied wine does not come across as flabby. The finish is fruit packed and clean. Overall, this needed a little time to blossom, but it is very enjoyable and seems like a mini-Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast.
