Big and round. Agree with the lemon curd or even lemon peel acidity. It also has a mouth coating texture that is very nice. Not Diana's style of chardonnay (buttery oakey), but a refreshing change from our usual whites.
excellent although only got some early when oak still a bit pronounced and the wine struggling to open and breathe....good balance and clearly looks to Burgundy. These are not cheap but they are very good with substantial weight and yet does not drink or feel heavy
2008 Rhys (The Medlar, London): Slightly fuller colour. Richer nose, but also more precision. Lots of energy here, and a good line. Opens up to a more tropical profile on the nose, a touch of pineapple. Real weight with a finely chalky texture. Touch of oatmeal too. ****
