Cellaraid Discovery Box; 5/19/2017-5/26/2021 (Delivered to Home): surprisingly very deeply tinted of ruby and purple, and also much intensity despite the body still comparatively lighter (rather expected for a Pinot); scents of violet and lavender, and very fruit forward, of casses and strawberry, and also with sweet liquorice, and rather earthy; happy with the power and complexity

Darker ruby color. Slightly closed and restrained nose of red and mainly dark berries, strawberries, dark cherries, a touch of cassis, a touch of smoke, sweet spices. On the palate there are notes of dark red fruits, but also black fruit again, minerals, some sweet spices and a touch of flowers and some graphite. It’s medium-full bodied with medium-high tannin and medium-high acidity providing tons of freshness. Long finish. A still very primary and young but very structured and dense NSG. And for 2009 it has tons of freshness. I would give it a few more years in the cellar. I like it! Day 2: Opened up significantly. Great potential!
