Golden in color, this requires an hour of airing, aroma of a matured Chablis, ripe exotic fruits, pepper and hint of minerals. Despite the ag3, this is still refreshing, sharp but balanced acidity with sweet fruits, slightly bitter from the concentrated minerals. Surprised to learn that, this chardonnay is grafted to PN vines, how amazing.

2009 J-F Mugnier NSG 1er Cru Clos de la Marechale Blanc I’ve recently read a few negative comments about ‘09 White Burgundies maturing too quickly, some with premox, etc. Not this one! Inviting nose of green apple, pear, white peaches, a touch of honey and smoke; precise notes supported by a crystalline structure and a lively and fairly long finish. It does soften a bit in the glass over time, so perhaps it’s nearing its peak, but right now it’s a terrific bottle.

Perhaps shared with too many people, so only limited taste over brief period, but this never really got going. Maybe more time and more air would have revealed the wine others describe below

Really lovely wine! Golden yellow with fantastic bouquet revealing a hint of tropical fruits. Surprisingly full bodied, great flavors of yellow orchard fruits, mineral, and that mango-ish flavor noted on the nose. Fairly long finish, not even a hint of premox. Think this will have at least another good decade of life, but drinking beautifully now.

Rich yet mineral inflected, but nose with hints of apple cider...heading for premox. Have to try another bottle.
