  NYE Vino Fest (Atlanta, GA): Tasted at the annual 2023 New Years Eve Vino Fest in Atlanta. BYOB and guests were encouraged to bring wines with years ending with a 3. No formal notes, just scores. Brad - heavypourwine.com

  A wonderful bottle of wine. Not our typical choice in wine but this really complimented a heavy meal. Full but not monolithic, with berry and plum fruit, tobacco leaf, anise, and licorice. This had a good balance of acidity and tannins. I wouldn't want this tomorrow but I'd love to have another bottle next week but alas I won't as this was my one and only bottle.

  Much better than the last 2 bottles. it confirms there are no great wines, only great bottles. Beautiful nose upon opening. Blackberry, anise, leather, cherry and spice aromas. Strawberry, black cherry, currant, tobacco and leather flavors. The tannins are silky smooth in the long finish. Much more typical of what I expect and have found from this producer. They are greatly missed. At least I have 2 bottles left.

  This one is clearly flawed, but i'm not sure how. Closed nose, pruney and almost sherried nose and flavors. No brett. Minimal fruit in flavor and a short finish, not bitter. Doesn't taste like it was corked, but based on the other 10 bottle, just not right. 1 bottle left.

  PnP and I was worried. Menthol and camphor overwhelmed any fruit that might be there. Very tight and closed. Took about 2 hours to open, and then it blossomed. Blackberry, anise, leather, cherry and spice on the nose. Strawberry, black cherry, currant, tobacco and leather on the palate. The menthol/camphor disappeared. Medium body, good balance and acidity. Medium finish with smooth tannins. Probably at its peak but should be good for another 5 years. DECANT!
