Blind at store: Blackberry fruits, raspberry, touch strawberry even, but mostly black fruits; herbs de provence, anise, licorice, wet earth, baking spice--vanilla oak; creamy, mocha, raw meat. medium body, tannins, higher alcohol, med. acid; 13.5%. Guessed Aussie Shiraz 2011.

Weak nose, medium rich palate, smooth but a bit disjointed. Some pepper on the finish. Wouldn't buy this again.
Minor floral notes on nose, fruit forward on the palate. Enjoyed the fruit structure. Had decanted prior to serving.
Viognier smoothed out syrah spice. Good, fruity taste. A little syrupy sweet after a while
pretty good juice for the price...blackberry and spice, with the viognier adding lift and a tangy quality.
