Not quite as good as I remember this wine. Overall quite good. Nice nose of flowers, herbs with complex mid palate of apple, vanilla cake, minerals. But somehow the oak didn’t integrate as well in this wine and stand out a bit more than I would like.

Muted saline nose. Big fleshy body but lacking a bit of precision. Flavors of pear, honeysuckle and lychee. Nice long finish. Mature but not in decline although I probably wouldn’t wait for more than a year or two.

Minneapolis Wine Spectator Offline (Fire Lake Grill, Minneapolis MN): Rich, powerful, and decadent, this shows itself as a Cali chardonnay while at the some time maintaining balance and depth of fruit. This is not an elegant and ethereal chardonnay, but big; with aromas and flavors of stone fruit, peach, oak, and a little bit of butter & melon. The finish is long, complex, and inviting. Definitely my style of chardonnay. Brought to restaurant from refrigerator, and served appropriately cool but not cold.

A memorable wine after drinking a Kistler and giving it a 94 we opened the Hobbs and we like this better. More subtle with delicate floral aromas and a light peach and pineapple taste. This was my last bottle of the Ritchie vineyard I wish I had more.

A hint of oxidation. Subtle Toasted oak. Tropical fruit, pear. Round mouthfeel. Delicious
