Wonderful smooth wine full of black raspberry, blueberry, and perhaps plum with touches of spice box and cedar. Big mouthful of fruit without being a fruit bomb. Wonderful.

big rich and funky. Lovely dark fruits with menthol notes and caramel. Red fruits and leafy resinous notes. Heat, unabashed richness and concentration. Medium acidity. Long finish. Nice wine but flavor profile is not my cup of tea.

Drank last night next to a French RedRhone blend of same varietals. Absolutely no comparison. The LC was rich and fruit forward with complexity and finish no where to be found in the French. The French Rhone did however cast a wonderful nose with negligible flavor to back it up leading to further disappointment. Perhaps my Calf. loving palate simply does not have the sophistication to enjoy the very subtle nuances of this French counterpart, or maybe the LC Sticks and Stones once again simply blew it off the table. Drank this after a 2 hours decanting. has a few good years left for cellaring.

I was done with wine at this point in the night as I was recovering from a virus - but Walt loved this - claiming it as the best wine of the night.
