This wine needs time in the glass to evolve. It did not taste like a montrachet to me when it was first poured. But it evolved really nicely with time as the butter, honey, sugarcane and popcorn started to emerge. The wine has high acidity and minerals. It's still very young..a super elegant montrachet that was not made in a powerful style..typical Drouhin Montrachet according to my friends. Absolutely amazing!
Brittannia Group (Hix Mayfair): pale gold. Very pure classy nose, very correct, lacy effortless. Powerful, honey, butterand richness. Fine but lacked a little excitement. No decant and those with some left said it developed considerably over time in the glass.
