Part of a blind tasting against other Syrah, finished in 3rd place behind a Le Vieux Pin 2012 Equinoxe and a Cote Rotie La Landoone 2003. Excellent wine, but stood out as the obvious Oz in our flight. Big, bright fruit nose, strawberry and cherry notes dominating. Still tasting very young, has many, many years still in it. But if this is your style of Syrah, wow, it's mighty fine.

Simply WOW what an outstanding wine drinking nicely now. 5 hour decant w/the wine just getting even better until gone. Smooth & balanced w/a long pleasant finish. Long life still ahead.

Drank with 2006 Grange. Surprisingly similar in tasting profile with red/dark fruit and black pepper as dominant flavor notes. Subtle oak at the end. Outstanding wine with long life ahead of it...

Five hour decant, the nose is filled with umami, blackberry, spices. The palate is still on the young side, with pepper, chewy tannins, solid acidity. This is just beginning to get into it drinking window, with many years to go, the finish on this is nearly endless. Three bottles to go, will try to stretch them out over the next eight to ten years.
