This wine had a great body, a nice nose, and a pleasant touch of butter to it. It was well balanced and slightly acidic, which was pleasing in the aftertaste.

On the nose the oak is well-integrated in to apple pie, there is also some pear and a hint of vanilla bean. On the palate the oak shows stronger with some fresh oak right off tossing it into the slightly bitter side, but there is also some nice minerality, acid and lemon. A full mouthfeel without coming off as manipulated. The finish is a bit front-palate bold and clunky. A nicely done chardonnay made by a winemaker with a restrained hand.
