- Crimsom color and aromas of raspberry, black pepper, oak and tobacco. It's balanced and has flavours of licorice anise and raspberry with a full body. Round texture with a long finish - This was the third bottle we drank of Cigale. It's getting better and better while aging. Now it's the time to drink this vintage.
A very good CDP: its bouquet was broad and intense (tart cherry, black currant, wild berries, violet, cocoa, wet soil, leather, sweet tobacco, rosemary, vanilla, licorice, black pepper, forest floor and a barnyard note) and its mouthfeel was very pleasant, combining fruity and spicy flavors with a smooth, balanced sip, medium acidity, well integrated alcohol and supple tannins. Medium finish. In my view the wine was mature (meaning at or near peak conditions): I would not wait much longer before enjoying it.
