Elegant noise of spring, not quite summer, smokey, raspberry. Ultra smooth entry, delightful citrusy fruits, vibrant. Right at it's prime, no explosions here but wonderful fireworks. Great with steak or light Italian source. Medium finish.

A Good Saturday: Mostly Burgundy (Decatur, GA): Blind. Darker red in the glass. Evolved and mature. Some guesses of 15 year old Chambolle. Tart red fruit. Hints of mint and herbal notes.

Three Blind Flights Dinner (Crown Wine Cellars, Hong Kong): Darker garnet red than the two previous wines but transparent. A very nice light nose of respberry and strawberry, lots of high notes. A good villages? Palate is very good, clearly very well made, with smoky bacon and simple single dimension of cherry fruit but with very nice saliva-inducing acidity. Medium length, taut but with big heady resonance on the finish. Very well made and precise and very expressive of its terroir. A bit taut and simple but rather in the way of an attractive woman dressed down and wearing no make-up. Served blind and I found this hard to guess. Surprised to find it was a 2000. Interesting to see what it will become.
