drinking at peak, but needs to open for an hour or so for best showing. Lots of dark and raspberry fruit, nicely integrated tannin, some leather, oak and a touch of bacon. I got slight tobacco notes as well, but others did not. Dense and nice finish

First bottle in 10 months and my next-to-last one from a half-case purchased in 2012. Consistent with my prior note. Not particularly impressive on the nose, which is dominated by quite a bit of heat. On the palate is where this really shines. Very rich and plush in texture. Bursting with ripe plum and blackberry fruit that immediately saturates the palate. A lively acidity keeps this nicely balanced. Lovely notes of spice, graphite and licorice add complexity to the long, grippy finish. A wonderful Gigondas. Paired beautifully with the Beef Bourguignon that Kerry's mom made for Sunday dinner. 50+5+11+17+8=91

Bought at Total Wine for dinner that evening, based on previous experience with Amadieu at Total Wine. Did not disappoint. Dark purple color, quiet nose with some floral notes. Quite integrated and refined on the palate for a young Gigondas. Red and dark fruit dominated, with some spice and a nice tannic structure. Medium-long finish. Hope they have more when I go back.

Dark red with dark fruit aromas....Balanced, integrated, smooth with dark fruit on the palate. The finish was medium and dry.

Excellent. Same notes as prior. The balance is right on.
