Lime, petrol, hints of pineapple on the nose. Very typical and quite delicious. Taste lacks acidity and freshness though. Becomes flappy, simple. Disappointing, considering its pedigree.

White fruit and apricot aromas. Palate has a nice combination of steely minerals and fruit. Medium richness and good acidity. Modest finish. Straightforward and uncomplicated, but satisfying.

Tasted August 12, 2006 at a retail tasting. Served in a Reidel Restaurant Magnum glass. Straw color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of light diesel notes with not much else showing. Flavors of peach with a little apricot. Light to medium acidity with light to medium body. Drink over the short term. Based on my local retail price of $19.54 I’d say the value here is somewhat acceptable but I’d definitely rather by low level German QbA instead.

Rhines & Rhones (Farpointe Cellar): This was my favorite riesling of the tasting. The nose had lots of lemon and pear, mixed with some pineapple, earth, and floral notes. The palate had sweet citrus flavors, as well as some tropical fruit. The acidity was just right, and it had a long finish.

Very pleasant fragrance of apple, pear and green apple. Fairly sweet with with a nice, smooth finish.
