Intriguing savory flavors are starting to reveal themselves. Coming across a tiny bit hot on both the nose and palette for me, despite moderate alcohol %. Ridiculously long finish would pair well with philosophical discussion.
Beautiful black purple from the bottle, with deep and dark jam on the nose, with some vanilla and cedar. With the first sip, it announces that it is extremely well made, with forward fruit but balanced tannins that provide some chew and toothiness. A very high level of complexity, with a lovely and deep caramel in the middle, and a finish that goes on and on. Also very nice is the fact that it does not give off overt heat, and keeps itself under control. Wow.
