The charm of this wine is its taste/perfume : we are not as sweet as a late harvest or a "selection de grains nobles", but at the perfect expression of a ripe fruit golden hue, candy nose, and velvet mouth , well balanced (nothing is in excess) Pairs perfectly with asian dishes (sweet and sour pork, indian curry)

Light orange/gold. Curiously, not much on the nose, aside from a bit of sweet spice. This has some weight to it, but it's not heavy in the mouth. Quite sweet (Indice 5), but not a late harvest. Candied orange peel, mint, sweet spices, and peach. Very long, but a little bitter on the finish. Reminds me of gewurz - a gewurz light. A foie gras and cheese sort of wine. Very good.

Pale yellow color. Ripe nose of baking spices, peach cobbler, melted butter. Broad and lush palate with cooked orchard fruits, honey and marmalade on a decidedly sweet finish.

Tasted at Zind-Humbrecht at the 2009 vintage tasting in early march. Beautiful, exotic, rich coating palate, affected by noble rot so is sweet (53 g/l or Indice 5) so keep this in mind, this is NOT dry. From the information sheet from the producer: Alcohol 13.8, 3 g/l H2SO4, pH 3.8, Yields: 32 hl/ha, average age of wines: 40 years. Terroir: Muchelkalk calcareous, south/southeast facing, medium slope. Drinking window: 2014-2034+
