Per last note however no audozing, just a decant to remove sediment. Still suffers from the same lack of substance after the mid-palate, but more structure and intensity up front from volatile acids. Bumping to a B+ (88) and will just go with a decant before getting into my 2005's.

Audozed cork out for approximately 2.5 hours, will look at 4+ next time as the nose was still a bit closed, really opening up around the second glass. The palate was initially very clean with red fruits and hints of funk and spice, but opened up with more discernible primary notes of red apple skin, red currant, and strawberry notes with hints of sour raspberries. Also displays secondary and tertiary notes of tobacco, wet earth, and hibiscus herbal green tea. It has some nice depth and concentration but only up front; the lower acidity and tannin do not provide much after the mid-palate in terms of structure or depth. Loses marks for not holding up; good enough to drink, but past its prime. Going to get to my last bottle sooner rather than later based on the variation in tasting notes. Overall evaluation B (86).

UWS a random set of wines (@ JB): PnP the bouquet is still somewhat locked. On the palate cassis and chocolate, beautifully ripe fruits, but also some green tannin. Ready now and no great hurry.

Doing fine over three nights under pump. All the characteristics of a well made bordeaux.
