Dinner in Nashville (Burger Up - Franklin, TN): Definitely outside of my comfort zone. The fruit was DARK and extracted. Lots of blueberries, blackberries and charcoal on the nose. THe palate was also firm, and hot. A dark, warm, fruit stew.

Lots of vegetal earthiness on the nose at first pour into decanter. Not in a good way. . . first taste yielded nice rich fruits with well-balanced acidity, not the green bean or green pepper taste I expected given the nose. After decanting an hour the old world funky smell went away & the fruits really began to shine. The blend of grapes in this Priorat is not quite what I am typically used to. . . overall - great food pairing wine. Tasted it with tritip roast. That was great! Wish I got more bottles before they ran out.

Powerful, but balanced earth, minerality and fruit. Great example of the quality of priorat wines.

Excellent fine-textured wine with aromas ranging from the very cabernet-like to the more raisiny-concentrated character of Priorat.
