Needs time to open. Decant. Quite alcoholic at 14+%. Blurry gold. Big rounded nose of sweet grapes (!) old flowers roses stems some Turkish delight. Lovely rounded texture. Lively acidity on the finish. Still might have a few years to go.

Tasted on two occasions. Over-the-top 2003. Deficient acidity, overripe tropical fruit, refinery vapors. Layered, but not integrated. The pedigree is obvious, but so is the impossibly hot vintage.

This a crazy version of Chavignol Sancerre. There is a mix of citrus, apple, dried herb, and roasted skins in the nose. Ripe in the mouth too, with a little RS. The fatness is buffered by some dissolved CO2 and some acidity. It was pretty oxidized on day two. Weird and delicious, at least on the first day.

Very 03, but still enjoyable. Ripe nose with just a little tarragon herb, mostly green apple, and passion fruit. There is some citrus acidity, but it gets broader as it warms to room temperature. Maybe a little RS adds to the fullness of the wine.

On the second day, more fresh gooseberries and florals but still wrapped in a jammy fullness. Crisp and minerals now showing.
