First of 4 bottles. 6 hr decant. Bam Man's note is very good. However, I disagree a bit with Rechrom, as I think there was a little TOO MUCH fruit here....very surprising. It is a well made, smooth, modern-styled, and balanced brunello. The tannins are still there so perhaps time will integrate more of the sweet fruit....looking forward to trying down the road.
First one of these in 15 months. Seems to have gotten darker in color and now shows noticeably more on the nose. Subtle, attractive aromas of leather, flowers, earth and dark berries. Full-bodied and very pure and focused. There is a laser-like intensity to the tangy sour cherry fruit on both the front- and mid-palates. Nicely balanced, with a lively acidity. The luscious fruit persists beautifully through the long, mouth-watering finish. Still just a bit tannic, this will likely be even better in another year or two. A terrific Brunello and also a fantastic bargain at around $30. 50+5+12+17+8=92
Tart cherry, zippy acidity, tannins present. Works great with food, good but not quite as pleasant alone. Age might integrate this and improve it, but I wonder whether there is sufficient fruit to go too much longer.
This is a ripe, robust young Brunello that will definitely benefit from some additional time in the bottle; While slightly austere initially, this opened up after several hours of air to feature bright red berry and cherry flavors, with firm tannins on the medium finish; Hold or drink now with a decant
